Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

SFA started from humble beginnings as a Non-Governmental Organization that can proudly boast of renewing its annual license for the last thirteen (13) years and being in good standing with the Department of Social Welfare.
We are strictly bound by confidentiality rules and are unable to mention clients we have served.
That notwithstanding, SFA has found loving homes for children who could otherwise not have received the same from their biological families.
We have also taken care of young pregnant ladies who otherwise would have abandoned their babies in gutters, remained on the streets, and abandoned their children.
The persons referred to have received medical care and some have been supported to start small businesses which have lifted them from a state of despondency and given them hope. Some of them are back in school. SFA has worked hand in hand with the Central Adoption Authority to salvage otherwise difficult or messed up cases.

Our approach

Our Vision

SFA seeks to provide first-class professional social services to persons who apply to adopt vulnerable children within Ghana and abroad to enable children to find loving homes and families.

SFA can boast of Staff and Directors with diverse professional backgrounds working within the welfare sector at home and abroad and include medical doctors, social work professionals, media personalities, chartered accountants, legal practitioners, Information Technology professionals, and researchers.

Our Mission

SFA exists to protect children in need of adoption by assisting prospective adoptive applicants with professional social services.

SFA makes this possible through our ethical social services with professionally trained and committed social workers engaging directly with families, groups, and communities to bring sustainable social change in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
